Each image is from the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem.
I am interested in the way we make even the most practical
objects with aesthetic appeal. The Museum does not permit
photography, so images in this quilt were drawn in the
Museum, then developed in fabric.
The name comes from an old rhyme:
If of coin thou art bereft
And in the larder two loaves left
Sell one of them, and with the dole
Buy hyacinths to feed the soul.
