I need an overhead projector available (tested, working and set up) for every four students. Any less and you will have bored students. They are only needed for the first four hours so can be on a very short term loan. Local schools can often supply these.

We need to project onto wall space from about two metres away with small separate tables for each overhead projector. It is hard to put two on a single table as they jiggle when people change places and the images can shift. These can be set up in corridors if they are fairly wide. If walls in the area are untreated brick or dark we will need some light A2 sheets of card to provide a white background for the projected image.

I need a table near the front for my own equipment and a white board with markers or blackboard and chalk - whichever is easier for you.

If tables are anything other than white it helps to have some light card or large sheets of paper to slide underneath when tracing images. I supply these in Australia but I don't want to add to my baggage weight with extra paper.

Each student needs at least the amount of space taken by a large Olfa mat and even more is better. A table per student is ideal. The images they work on are A2 and they need to be flat in front of them. They work on a thick folded sheet as a pressing surface and with an iron plugged in. this is far safer than having them moving to ironing boards every three minutes throughout the first two days. Two students can share an iron between them. This class also produces clutter!

If I am flying to you I will also need to borrow a sewing machine for demonstration purposes. I am most used to a Bernina 153. It needs, whatever it is, to have a free machine quilting or darning foot.
